Buy a House From Your iPhone
Posted: January 19, 2010
You heard me right - your iPhone! Gone are the days of opening up your laptop, signing onto your ISP or wireless network, and trolling for properties on the internet....well, maybe not completely. But, for those of you who have joined the iPhone craze (and, honestly, who hasn't at this point?), then you are privy to a wonderful new phone app - one that allows you at the touch of a few buttons to search for available properties on Realtor.com.
The application in question is designed to put homes for sale or rent at your fingertips (literally), and enables users to "do tailored searches, save notes, take pictures, and send links to properties in real time via e-mail", and allows you to utilize Facebook or Twitter in the process (in case you would like a friend's opinion on a property). Additionally, the app can determine your location and notify you about any open houses within 20 miles of where you are. Genius!
As far as real estate websites come, Realtor.com has proved itself to be one of the leaders, and draws in plenty of users (and properties). On top of this, iPhone users tend to fall into the demographic of people aged 26-40, also right around the same age of people who would be looking to purchase a home, and "cash in", so to speak, on the tax credit for homebuyers. Coincidence? I think not.
So how can you get this wonderful, life-changing phone app, you ask? Very simple - log onto iTunes.com, and follow the links to the free download. Of course, once you find a property, it's strongly recommended to utilize the expertise of a knowledgeable realtor. They haven't exactly come up with an app to handle all of the paperwork yet.
As always, please feel free to contact me at 239-357-9558 with any of your Real Estate needs or questions. Rgds, Jay
